It's been awhile since I've posted here! The past few months have been busy with wedding planning!! Here's a recap of what we have been up to lately...
April- I celebrated my last "single" birthday, turning 26! My BFF Ashley and her husband Eric hosted an engagement party for Mark and I. It was a stock the bar theme, so everyone brought us some type of bar gadget or alcohol, needless to say Mark and I won't need to hit the liquor store anytime soon!! Most of our friends were able to join us and we had an awesome time!
May was just busy doing little wedding planning tasks... Almost everything big seems to be done now, I'm hoping we won't have too much last minute stress come up with little "to do's"!! Miss Elle graduated from preschool and will soon be a big kindergartner!! I can't believe how big she is getting. I also got to go on one of Mark's flights with him to Tulsa OK, and it was awesome being able to fly on his plane while HE was flying! I ended up making friends with the flight attendants and hanging out in the back of the plane with them!
This past weekend mark and I planned a trip to Denver Colorado to spend the weekend with my family pastor Harlan and his wife Sharon. Unfortunately due to everyone traveling because of summer I made it to Houston but wasn't able to make it to Denver because the flights were full. Fortunately my mom thought of a great idea to Skype with them a few times so we could complete our marriage counseling! Mark and I flew home on Friday and had our first session that night, it was really great getting to spend an hour talking with the Betz's!!
Since we ended up in Austin this weekend we got to go out to Cliffside on Lake Travis, where Cate's parents live and celebrate her birthday, it was so much fun spending the day out at the lake! The weather and water were both perfect!
This coming weekend we are attending the Family Life Marriage conference here in Austin. We're looking forward to spending the weekend together!!
Hopefully I can get back into the swing of blogging like I promised myself I would!
